New Western Carrier was started by Late Mr. Shabbir Kagalwala in 1968, but the foundation stones to this business had been laid down in his mind many years prior. Mr.Shabbir Kagalwala, who started his career as “Angadia” person, personally picked up parcels from traders in Mumbai’s famous Mulji Jetha Market and delivered them to retailers on Pune’s famous Laxmi Road. The famous “Deccan Queen” train was his daily mode of transport before he bought his first truck in 1972 and since then he worked hard to build a reputable transportation business based on the simple principle of “Time-Bound, Next Day, Reliable and Safe deliveries” within the Mumbai-Pune Sector. His principles and a firm belief in an all-inclusive growth is today carried on very successfully by his family.
Mr. Poonawala spearheads the Administration, Accounts and IT departments at New Western Carrier. He holds a graduate degree in Commerce and a PG Diploma in Computer Application.
At the helm of the organization, he takes responsibility for establishing the company’s goals and strategies and providing the much needed directional guidance to the workforce.
As the Business Development head, Mr. Mustafa is responsible for the business growth of the organization, besides keeping an eye for new sales prospects to facilitate in this growth.
